First Use: Special post-Iftar Delight
Few days back, we had special guests over for Iftar. After a great meal, (prepared by yours truly); it was time for desert. For me, it was time to bring out the big guns :)
You see, on our last trip to London, we walked out of Harrod's Chocolate Bar with a tiny souvenir. It was our first use for it.
I will let the photos do all the talking ;)

As you can see in the last photo, the rotating tray of Fruit Kababs, Marshmallows, Orange Cake cubes, fresh strawberries and Bananas was annihilated :)

D - it was good wallah.. food coma 3al saree3 :)
DJ - The chocolate was premium with 70% Cocoa and the platter was packed with fresh fruits and stuff ... so, you can argue that the meal was .. umm.. healthy.

By CG, at September 11, 2008 at 12:15 PM
CG ... what kind of chocolate are you using?
By moryarti, at September 11, 2008 at 4:02 PM
obviously the wrong kind!!!
Where can I buy decent choc here in Dubai? Is it, couverture chocolate I need?
By CG, at September 11, 2008 at 6:52 PM
nothing less than 65-70% cocoa, metlt it in a pan-marie, pour the melted chocolate while the fountain is on HEAT mode, then switch to flow.
If its too thick, add a table spoon of veg oil .. it will smooth things up..

Is this a flickr top shot?
Do some people like to ooze on a Harvey Nichols shop while others trek to the Choco eatery on Harrods' top floor? It's like the Burj Dubai doesn't offer similar retreats.
