  • Notice that now residents of Dubai consider "Dubai" as traveling!

I cannot wait for the metro.. it's our only hope (for now) to help with traffic. Salik will only screw things up in my humble opinion (until it is zoned, rather than gated).

  • allah y3afeek KJ and el hamdellah 3ala el salameh

Buj - i know people who know people that told people that there are atleast 2 more gates (other than the ones announced) will be installed... this is confirmed news.

  • Two more gates :D

This place is truly becoming too scary huh? Strips you of your soul, social identity, and money.

On the bright side of things, if arranged properly you may be able to draw an enormous, city-wide voodoo spell if you pass through each gate ;)

On the brighter side (dark humor), more gates = more money to spend = more people leaving the city = less traffic = RTA celebrating their success = more gates ad infinitum until the city empties.

Then it will be the largest uninhabited city in the world ;)

  • hala moryarti.. i am not surprised by the extra 3aliq gates.. once the initial public objection passes, they can add as many gates as they wish.

i'm all for stealth taxes, just show me some positive results vis-a-vis traffic de-congestion.

however, the rta is spending zillions on the road network, so in a way they need the cash, and thus i can see their point.
