Damn - you are one helluva lucky guy! Keep that woman around, she's worth gold! (Even if she did introduce me to shisha!) LOL
Happy Anniversary to the two of you - may your lives be blessed forever!

Usually men get the women gifts when they messed up something.
Hmmm!

I'd spend money on lenses instead of classes; depends what photography you're planning on doing, on that camera with the stock lens (I believe 18-55mm or similar) and using the green square mode (a.k.a. auto) you can't really ever go wrong.
If you want to take some nice portraits/landscapes etc then it's best to pick up some more lenses.

I agree with Sam, plus practice makes perfect.
Get out there, experiment with all the different settings - you'll soon see what is successful and what's not.
Also RTFM - Read The F**king Manual!
So, Mrs M is making sure that you have a good camera to record the new Mini M MkII, ay? ;-)
Thanks for the offer of more tobacco, Mory, but our pipe is currently in storage somewhere in Melbourne! xo

That's a Canon EOS Digital. 1000D?
You don't need lessons. Just let the camera take all the decisions. use P mode. You're in safe hands!!!

YUM! Enjoy they toy. Chase Jarvis keeps a fantastic site and blog of and around his photography work. Very generous with sharing his experiences. Tons of fun as well.
