Food you'll wish you never have to eat, smell... or even see!

Check out this scary list of food that I never knew existed!

Oh yes, these little things resting at the bottom of that wine bottle are baby mice!

  • Wow...I might try making the mice soup sometime, perhaps with little ants as a garnish. Thx for the idea!

  • D/NZM ... lol.. i thought so.

Now, 2 things I found interesting about this list:

I don't Pacha (btw, its pronounced Baat'cha), the Iraqi (and also very common in Iran) dish deserves the 'runner up' honor. At the end of the day, its cooked red meat. The presentation needs a bit of ...er.. brushing up, i totally agree. In more "civilised" banquets, the head is actually chopped and served in a stew like dish with veggies and tomato sauce.

    2. They list developer missed out a major side dish with it... Its call Kara3een - which is basically the same method of cooking ... but instead, they dip the sheep's hoof's instead of its head...

No, i never tried it, I just know about it due to my profound interest in the culinary sciences :P

    i*maginate - what can i say other than .. bon appétit? :o)

  • Ya sater ya rub... baby mice?! Man seriously this world needs a LOT of cleansing!

I remember in Saudi we went to a Chinese restaurant and while we were ordering we saw an escaped rat - and I stress on escaped as the restaurant apparently serves the rats instead of the chicken and meat.

I haven't eaten Chinese outside the house since then... well not until I came to UAE anyway
