Dubai Taxi Poll
I was browsing Dubai Taxi website and noticed an Opinion Poll that asked the following question:
"What do you think about installing a surveillance camera in the Taxi?"
I say HELL YES!
This is not only protection for customers and passengers, but even for the Taxi drivers themselves.

It should be done, for the benefit of both passenger and driver like you said.
But if the driver is going to get attacked late at night like it so always happens, don't you think the attackers would do something about the tape?

Most new on-board mobile TVCC work on IP... they are less expensive to own, operate and manage. If Dubai Taxi for those, then most likely there won't be any local storage at the vehicle and everything will be fed to a local datacenter.. but again, i could be wrong :)

Fair enough, I hope they don't raise the fare though since we'd get the extra protection.
