Blogger in Kuwait - Dining

Next to being the acclaimed GCC fashionistas, people in Kuwait luuurve to eat. No wonder the largest food company in the region (Americana) is Kuwaiti.

Anyways, On the second day of Eid, we decided to drop by Buffalo's, a TexMex thats specializes in .. Yep, Buffalo wings. They have all type of sauces: mild, hot, very hot, nuclear hot, BBQ, ...etc. And the wings you get there are nothing like the one you get at Ch!lli's .. oh no .. These wings mean business baby!

After lunch, we went to Marina Mall (the one in Kuwait, not Abu Dhabi). After some serious credit card damage, we dropped by The Chocolate Bar, something like the one in Harrods in Laandan. Your's truly decided to kick it off with an amazingly energetic "Chocolate Shot"...

Mrs. Moryarti asked me if I can share a Chocolate Fondue, which basically was pieces of strawberries, bananas, sponge cake and choc-chip cookies ready to be devoured after dipping em in 3 types of chocolate dips: dark, milk and white chocolate. How could i resist?

"sinfully delicious" :)

  • Likewise, great shirt man. The food doesnt look too bad either, upon seeing that yesterday I actually spent 30 minutes in bed daydreaming about how good it must taste. I have got to nip down to Kuwait sometime :P

  • You should see the discrete nods and the hidden smiles i get when i wear the t-shirt and walk around the place. its like a blogger-secret-brotherhood acknowledging each other outside cyberia lane :)

  • CG - it was divine! I was in a food coma for 2 days.

Besides the fondue, i had the chocolate shot (forget Red Bull, thats my kind of energy drink) and a brownie a la mode (you can see it to right of the fondue)...

i wanted to try so many things on the menu i almost cried when i left the place..

  • When you find a choc place in Dubai that remotely compares pls spread the word, then we can all go down there wearing a blogger shirt...and stuff ourselves into oblivion.

  • YEHH Professore! great shirt.Luhrrrrrve the T. The Buffalo wings look yumm and I could sure go for a bucket with my very own special SCOTCH BONNET sauce(never leave home without it).Shlurp
The fondue thing though would have me more ecstatic if it was cheese tho. Im not a fan of chocolate or sweet. But it looks real nice. They have one of them in Dubai at the Grand.
For anyone who wants to stuff themselves SILLY. You are all welcome to my home and YOU ARE ALL WELCOME.

  • Mrs. Moryarti needs some photography lessons. She appears to have missed your head in every shot. Or maybe she was only interested in the chocolate...
I am still craving and coming back for more drooling peeks at the fondue, as you can see.

  • thanks Kaya - in Wafi Mall there is a place that servers great chocolate as well.. SEGIFREDO's i think (not sure of the spelling). Cosmo on SZR used to make really good hot cocoa - until they recently changed their menu - now it tastes like Nesqu!ck..
