Although I was born in Kuwait during the reign of the previous Emir, Sheikh Jaber was the ruler for most of the time i spent my childhood years there. Although not knowing him in person, I still feel a sense of loss. It's like knowing something or someone who was always there, but now SUDDENLY is'nt. He showed great courage during the Gulf War and ensured Kuwait was rebuilt and in his later years became more liberal than most Arab Rulers
