Sh Zayed Road Beats 5th Avenue
What's interesting about this blurry shot I took of the New York branch of Mashreqbank is that according to the Bank's CEO, its costing him Dhs 115/sqf to have that place in New York. We are talking about a location on 5th Avenue in Down Town Manhattan; It doesn't get any snazzier than that.
Funny thing is, the same branch on Sh. Zayed Road in Dubai is costing Mr. Al Ghurair Dhs 275/sqf.
Dubai is not going thru a real estate bubble .. Yeah right :)

I've seen Mashreq Bank on 5th Ave too, and there are also Habib Banks which are linked to the Swiss and Pakistani Habib Banking chain.
BTW - did you take any pics of the halal shawarma stands? :-)

But Sheikh Zayed Road is so much "prettier" than 5th Avenue, therefore its worth every dirham!
